Fall came quickly this year! I've heard it's supposed to get warm again soon but I've yet to see it. While the first day of fall has yet to arrive I've seen people left and right enjoying the layering and darker colour palette that cooler weather brings. Personally I love it. Not to mention Hallowe'en is quickly approaching and that makes me absolutely manic in planning decorations, makeup, costumes, the whole package. This is by far my favourite time of year. The haunting season.

Ok so part two, craziness. Originally I thought I'd wait to do the second part but I figured might as well keep the momentum going now that I've gotten the hang of it. The product in this post will be those mascaras that would be found at Sephora, department store counters, etc. Quite a few on this list came from a Sephora set of 10 (or something like this) trial sizes of different mascaras, but as far as I know the brush and product inside are identical to that it's full size counterpart. So let's get this started!

If you know anything about me, you know that I have an obsession with eyelashes. And why wouldn't I? The eyes are the window to the soul correct? CORRECT? So why not put nice curtains (or window treatments if you want to get all home and gardeny on me) on those windows?! I've thought about creating a blog for a while now but I never got the inspiration. Until a few weeks ago when one of my loves Cass created her own to show how amazingly talented she is... BAM inspiration! One thing you should know about Cass (in addition to her being one of the most amazing people you will ever meet and an extraordinary friend on top of that) is that she's got eyelashes I would kill for. Naturally curly, ridiculously long and a major source of jealousy. So this mascara search is the result of me trying to reach what I like to call "Cass level" in terms of lashes. Also if you want to check out her blog and get some amazing inspiration too here's the link: http://cass-parade.tumblr.com/

I've always loved the idea of change. Of forward movement. Of being a chameleon... changing with my environment. Thus...my love of makeup, ever changing hair colours and styles and fighting the urge to stick with what works and not look beyond. Life has an interesting way of pushing people to remain the same and become complacent. That's why you find websites full of rules regarding hair colours that suit your skin tone and makeup to wear if you have blue eyes or brown eyes or what jeans to wear if you hate your hips or your tummy. This isn't one of those kinds of places. This blog will be devoted to the art of makeup. Not always pretty and polished but art none the less. It may seem scattered at some points but that's just a reflection of change and growth and movement.
We'll see where this takes us.
