The red lip has always been the go-to look for glamour and fashion. It's striking and bold while at the same time being classic and timeless. No need to list the Hollywood starlets who made the red lip so famous because it's pretty obvious. As I know it's been a while since my last post I thought I'd do something extra special and use photos from an amazing make shift photoshoot I did with two beautiful and talented ladies (collaboration with Cass of http://cass-parade.tumblr.com/). Keep reading for a list of products and some tips to get the perfect red lip!
A blog about the art of makeup and transformation. Information on products and trends but mostly about the passion for change and the ability to do so.

Colour Theory - Red (Hallowe'en)
OH HI
Okay so I was going to do a "wearable" red look for my colour theory series but come on... I mean with Hallowe'en like 3 sleeps away how could I do such a thing? So that's going to have to come at a later date. I didn't go with a gore look that may come this weekend or even on Hallowe'en day so I decided to go with something that could be used for several styles of costume. Demon, Devil, Vampire, etc... whatever. ANYWHO on with the show... (THE SHOW MUST GO ONNNNNNNN THE SHOW MUST GO ONNNNNN [Moulin Rouge fans singing right now? yes? no? just me? jerks.]).

Colour Theory - Orange: Part 2
OH HIIIII!!!
Okay so Orange Part 2. The more "avant garde" side of orange. Ugh did I just say that? Ewwwww. I hate myself. ANYWHO... doing "fashiony" orange work can be somewhat difficult... what with the addition of any black to the look you can end up looking like you're a walking Hallowe'en costume store horror story. Not that this is a bad thing... but it's not like you want to be the weird girl who can recite the entire Nightmare Before Christmas movie or starts decorating for Hallowe'en two months prior or the one who purchases Hallowe'en decorations after the date not just because they're on sale for NEXT year but actually to decorate her room all year................. shut up... stop judging me.

Colour Theory - Orange
Ok so not your basic colour theory, I'm not going to sit here with a colour wheel and try and teach you about complimentary colours and blah blah blah because I've learned it too many times and to be honest with you I'm bored with it. HOWEVER... I'm hoping to do a bit of a series of posts that focus on one colour, showing you a wearable (in my eyes) and a more fashion focused or "unwearable" look. OH and also... yes it's spelled COLOUR, I am Canadian... we like to throw in extra letters here and there.

Adele Inspired
OH MY GOD I know I know I'm updating. It's madness. Ok long story short: I moved, worked, things happened, I'm "not friendly", my computer failed, I moved back, things are better. Don't worry about it.

Fall trend
Fall came quickly this year! I've heard it's supposed to get warm again soon but I've yet to see it. While the first day of fall has yet to arrive I've seen people left and right enjoying the layering and darker colour palette that cooler weather brings. Personally I love it. Not to mention Hallowe'en is quickly approaching and that makes me absolutely manic in planning decorations, makeup, costumes, the whole package. This is by far my favourite time of year. The haunting season.

The great mascara search Part 2 - High End brand
Ok so part two, craziness. Originally I thought I'd wait to do the second part but I figured might as well keep the momentum going now that I've gotten the hang of it. The product in this post will be those mascaras that would be found at Sephora, department store counters, etc. Quite a few on this list came from a Sephora set of 10 (or something like this) trial sizes of different mascaras, but as far as I know the brush and product inside are identical to that it's full size counterpart. So let's get this started!
